TERMS OF USE

A useful tool. Clear limits.

Terms for the free Arbray subtitle workbench.

Updated 6 October 2026

Use files you have the right to process

Arbray is a free text-processing utility for editors and creators. You retain your rights in your files. You are responsible for having permission to use the material and for checking the exported result. The service does not provide, distribute or download films or subtitle collections.

What the checks cover

The tool checks supported subtitle structure, timing and configurable readability targets. It does not recognize speech, translate, guarantee accuracy, certify accessibility or promise acceptance by a platform. Use an original backup and review the output in the intended player. We do not charge for processing and there is no subscription.

Responsible use

Do not attempt unauthorized access, attack the service, submit malicious requests or use the tool to infringe another person’s rights. The editor limits files to 2 MB, 10,000 cues each and 10 files at a time to keep local processing manageable. Availability can be interrupted. Nothing in these terms removes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Advertising and independence

If enabled, clearly labelled Yandex advertising appears only in editorial guides, subject to your choice. An advertisement is not an endorsement. Arbray is independent of video platforms and subtitle software vendors. References to file formats or products describe compatibility or sources, not a partnership.
